While the clinic was helpful overall, the volunteer staff didn't agree on various aspects (ie what section to claim donations in) and it was confusing getting multiple pieces of conflicting information simultaneously. The girl helping me was very kind but she did not seem confident or knowledgeable enough to be working on her own quite yet. Also, they tried to fit too many people in the one small room which resulted in feeling cramped and uncomfortable while sharing personal financial information with strangers which I would have preferred not to.
Overall I was hoping to learn how to do my taxes- not to have people look at my information as if I wasn't there then talk about it amongst themselves (if this is the best way for the RSU to accommodate students, that's fine- but let us leave our T4's instead of sit there for 45 minutes while others go about their business) . I did not learn how to do anything which was my goal and think in the future there should be more of a focus of the volunteers explaining what they were doing at the time of.
The volunteer helping me had a nice attitude which I really appreciate, and I do think this is a great service, however overall it was unprofessional and would not contribute much to learning experience for the future.
The volunteer was very nice, and got my work done is less than 15 minutes. I'm glad I got my taxes done here. Also, it is great that to donate canned food for the food bank in return for the service.
This is honest feedback. My experience was terrible. I had booked an appointment for today at 11am and was told my turn would come within 5-10 minutes. I waited close to an hour and my turn never came. The process of scheduling these appointments needs to be more organized. It was quite frustrating.

I used a tax service on campus last year and the people that were helping me were very scattered and didn't really know what they were doing.
THIS YEAR, the lady that helped me i think her name was Vay, was very knowledgeable about everything and did my taxes in less than 15 minutes! It was truly a pleasure, and would definitely use this service again.
